I tend to remake drawings a lot

I decided to draw the protagonist of one of my favourite books. I think, I mostly focused on a film adaptation than the original illustrations.
I had to remake a drawing, because the first image I consider disproportionate and rather lame. But I also decided to draw him in another uniform, which also appears in the film.
Sorry for the "sketchy" look of the the second image. I just wanted to imitate colourful illustrations from books. 

Some facts: I read this book for the first time in 2006. Also, I think that the 1957-1958 films and 1986 cartoon are the best adaptations of the book.
